Joe Cormier

Joe Cormier serves as the Economic Development Chair on the Youngsville Chamber Board of Directors. Since 2018, Joe has served as the Senior Pastor at First Assembly of God Church in Youngsville after serving as the church’s treasurer and member since 2012. Pastor Joe is an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God and serves on the board of several Christian ministry organizations throughout Louisiana. He is also the president of YoungsvillePantry, a local 501c3 charity which seeks to close the food security gap in Lafayette Parish. As frequent host of the Chamber’s quarterly luncheon, Pastor Joe and First Assembly have been members of the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce for several years. 

Joe and Shannon have been happily married for over 20 years and faithfully serve the Youngsville community as pastors at First Assembly. In addition to their pastoral ministry, they are actively involved in numerous community organizations, partnering with local businesses, schools, and government initiatives to strengthen the community.
